One of the major efforts of the Fort Worth Tennis Association is to support junior tennis in our community. Here are a few of the programs we support! Follow the links in the left navigation menu for more information and for current applications when available.

Tennis in the Parks is for beginners looking to learn to play tennis.  The classes are offered at various parks and community centers throughout Fort Worth.  Please see the Tennis in the Parks page for more information.  

 

 

Junior Summer CAMP Scholarship

During the spring Fort Worth Tennis Association offers a SUMMER JR CAMP scholarship program. 
 

Junior Competitive Travel Scholarship

Ongoing, throughout the year, competitive travel scholarships are available for City of Fort Worth residents. If you are not a Fort Worth resident, please contact your local Community Tennis Association for assistance.
 

Newk's College Showcase Scholarship

A joint scholarship from the FWTA and USTA Texas, "Newk’s College Showcase Scholarship" gives players the perfect opportunity to meet college coaches who are  looking to recruit Texas tennis players for their teams. This event will allow each player to showcase their skills and ability to many  college tennis coaches in one place. The USTA Texas College Scholarship is open to all high school  players in Texas.
 
 

 

FWISD Schools & After-Schools Program: PE Curriculum, Training & Equipment

The FWTA provides tennis equipment, curriculum and teacher training to about 35 FWISD elementary and middle schools. If tennis is NOT available in your child's school, please contact us to work with your school to set it up.  

 


 

Jr Team Tennis and NJTL

The FWTA promotes the USTA's Jr. Team Tennis (JTT), and National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL), Play Days, and provides organizational memberships, equipment and tennis lessons plans for FWISD School PE classes and After-School programs.
